Containing information on Oklahoma’s restaurants, places to stay, museums, events, things to do, state parks, and outdoor recreational activities in Oklahoma, the Travel Guide was an accessible source of information and inspiration for potential in-state and out-of-state visitors.
To connect the many different types of experiences available in Oklahoma — from exploring urban oases to riding ATVs on sand dunes — the guide's theme was “A State for All Seasons.” This theme allowed for the guide to feature the beauty of state parks, unique events and experiences, the best times of the year for outdoor activities, when to visit for cultural traditions and celebrations, and more while giving potential travelers useful information and tips.
With a fusion of cutting-edge AI-generated illustrations and stunning photography, the design-forward guide stood out among other travel brochures and resources. The AI elements, blended with illustrated graphics, captured the beauty and essence of Oklahoma, while a unique paper-cut design emphasized its content and prompted people to download, order, and pick up the guide.
The 177-page guide, available in both printed and digital formats, served as a keepsake-quality resource showcasing Oklahoma’s vibrant offerings. Designed to inspire year-round exploration and adventure, the guide was organized into sections—Route 66, Urban Adventure, Native American, Western Heritage, Arts & Culture, and State Parks—and included recommendations for dining, accommodations, and the best times of year to visit. Additionally, to enhance convenience and engagement, the guide featured QR codes linking directly to the TravelOK website, seamlessly integrating the inspiration and trip-planning phases.
Organic social media was utilized to promote the guide and encourage orders and downloads. static and animated graphics were posted on organic social media. Using both static and animated graphics, these posts brought the guide’s illustrations and paper-cut elements to life while offering a sneak peek at its rich content.
