Position Summary:

  • The Digital Strategist will develop digital media campaign recommendations and assist in the execution of digital media plans. They will set campaign objectives and KPIs, develop and manage paid digital and social campaigns, craft strategic digital media and targeting recommendations, help monitor and track campaign budgets and performance, and assist in composing campaign performance reports for a designated account list.

  • This role will work with multiple departments and is an integral part of the media department and agency. They will report to a Director, Lead or Senior member of the digital strategy team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes campaign performance on a regular basis to ensure objectives are met and provides relevant insights
  • Builds and enhances vendor relationships and stays current and familiar with new marketing tactics
  • Collaborates with traditional media team to develop sound marketing plans for relevant clients
  • Communicates effectively with Creative and Account Service departments to ensure the digital marketing plans align with the client’s goals and objectives
  • Develops sound, well-researched media plans and written strategic recommendations for all clients on account list
  • Develops, implements and maintains digital marketing objectives, strategies and tactics for a set account list
  • Educates clients about digital strategy and current industry trends
  • Ensures campaign goals and KPI’s are determined, communicated, monitored, met and proven for all digital media campaigns to show ROI
  • Fosters a team-oriented environment
  • Helps establish team workflow on set account list
  • Identifies and communicates key, macro-level insights within digital reporting
  • Implements and manages strategy, delivery and optimization of all paid digital campaigns on account list
  • Meets with clients as needed to discuss results and recommendations
  • Meets with industry representatives to gain insight to all phases and points of contact in media
  • Oversees and approves digital reporting and dashboards on set account list
  • Presents digital strategy, marketing plans, and campaign reports to clients as needed
  • Works alongside the Marketing Strategist to ensure campaign initiations are clear, measurable and realistic prior to digital team members receiving them
  • Writes and develops tactical briefs
  • Works regularly in Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other ad platforms

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
  • 2-5 years of digital media or agency experience preferred, but not required (relevant internship and coursework will be considered)

Required Skills and Certifications:

  • Must have strong business writing and communication skills
  • Must have strong organizational and quantitative/analytical skills
  • Must have extremely strong attention to detail
  • Great attitude, desire to learn and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PPT
  • Experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Ads Experience
  • Experience working with programmatic media vendors
  • Google Ads Certifications preferred
