Although Watermark’s team has decades of proven banking and business experience, the bank itself is relatively new. Their team partnered with VI for support in enhancing Watermark’s brand recognition, and together, we uncovered two opportunities the bank could leverage to make its mark on the local community.

To boost Watermark’s brand recognition, VI identified a couple of high-visibility projects that would help solidify their brand identity and position the bank as a trusted leader in the local business community. As the bank prepared to transition to a new facility, updating the signage at their new headquarters was our clear first step, with a primary goal of ensuring the visual environment would support and reinforce Watermark’s commitment to authenticity and integrity.
Secondly, Watermark and VI leveraged an upcoming conference for local business owners by conceptualizing and creating a unique, memorable trade show booth that would capture the attention of attendees and enhance brand awareness.

VI designed and developed bold, clean signage incorporating both Watermark’s name and iconic W mark. In the interior spaces, we paired the bank’s logo marks with quotes from their core values and mission statement to emphasize their brand’s attributes and vision from the moment customers stepped foot in the building.
For the interactive booth, we created an Alice in Wonderland inspired theme and blended creativity with strategy to capture attention and make a lasting impression. Our creative team harnessed cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) tools to develop a striking backdrop that featured themed artwork in the middle panel and doubled as a photo booth background, along with two side panels comprising evergreen visuals and messaging that Watermark could repurpose for future events. Because the banking industry is ever-evolving and rife with jargon, decoding it can often feel like solving a riddle. However, it is significantly easier to navigate with the help of a trusted advisor like Watermark Bank. This insight inspired our main activity, a scavenger hunt of riddles incorporating references from both the world of finance and Alice in Wonderland, which we tied to a grand prize: a trip to Las Vegas. While we primarily utilized QR codes with Watermark’s “W” in the middle and landing pages to deliver the riddles, we included the first on the print invitation and incentivized guests to solve it by offering a raffle ticket in exchange.
